OBJECTIVES

Provide the best possible care and services to individuals with developmental disabilities 

Develop products that are responsive to the employment needs of adults with developmental disabilities and consumer needs of customers 

Build strong relationships with communities 

Create strategies for “harnessing” the skills and talents of individuals with developmental disabilities 

Develop and refine educational and vocational interventions that will allow individuals with developmental disabilities to enhance their career potential and independent-living skills 

Introduce skilled and talented individuals with developmental disabilities to the community and employers who need and value these individual’s skills and talents and accept and understand their integrated role within community and workplace 

Develop and implement strategies for community outreach 

Develop a training model that can be shared with other service providers and communities throughout the U.S. and around the world
